Amy + Javid :: Wedding Photography
Thursday Jun 29, 2017
I have known Javid for a number of years, having worked countless weddings with him. I was honored to have been the one they chose to capture their day. I met Amy back in February at our first Client meeting inside a small ice cream parlor in Downtown Denver.
Fast forward to Wednesday, June 7 and we have some wedding bells ringing. Actually, there were no wedding bells. Only a slight rustle of leaves and the clink of a clasp on the flag pole. These two stellar people tied the knot at the Winding River Ranch in Grand County, Colorado. The property backs up to the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park (my favorite of the national parks). This gave us a picturesque backdrop for anything we wanted to do throughout the day.
Amy has traditional, American roots; while Javid's family traces back to Iran. They had a combination Christian/Jewish ceremony followed by an American/Iranian reception. With all of the weddings I have shot, I have to say that the Iranian ceremony was a wave of freshness. I didn't know what to expect next. There was dancing, stories, gifts, and languages I didn't understand. It was fabulous!
I hope that you enjoy the pictures and are able to see the happiness, culture, and community through the images below. Thanks.
